Hello, readers! Shadow Portal Team here again, and it’s time to share some news about development, development of update 29! Today we’re talking about plans: the scenes that are going to be included, more UI improvements, some UX changes, and other additions that show great promise. Grab a cup of tea and take a comfortable seat. Here we go!

We expect the next update to be less scene-heavy than the current one. We’ve already taken way too long with the last update, so we don’t want to even risk postponing the release of the next update. We’ll try our best to make as much content as possible, as usual, but we’ll stay grounded with our plans. No, we are not saying that the planned stuff that won’t fit into update 29 won’t ever release — not at all. We’re saying that the upcoming update will be focused on the more important content, so you can enjoy it as soon as possible. For example, QoB’s pregnant sprite – quite an important addition, no? We noticed that you were a bit worried by the lack of a pregnant sprite of our favorite queen, and we’re swiftly fixing that. We also noticed that some people encountered an unpleasant issue upon launching update 28 – where did that pixelization come from? Well, it was an option you choose upon launching the game. Censoring the game wasn’t actually the point of this feature, but it unfortunately got included in the update. We helped the players who encountered this issue, but it would be better to remove the root of the problem, disabling the censorship by default. This is the sort of quality-of-life problem and improvement we want to keep adding to the game. Thanks for letting us improve ourselves.

The approximate release date of the update is mid-to-late May.

Now that we’ve talked a bit about our plans, here’s the changelog for update 0.29.

Changelog: High priority:

• Trash collection
• Minigame (trash collection)
• Splish-splash (Guardian essence)
• Stuck in wall animation 1
• Animation 2 (Poll winner)

Medium priority:

• Ursadon sprite
• Pregnant QoB sprite

Low priority:

• Bug fixes

Quite positive first-hand news, isn't it. A reminder, perhaps not all of this will be included in the patch, and maybe something else will be added - we always reserve that right for ourselves. To be honest, this is going to be one of the most interesting patches recently. It will have all the stuff: leader essence, an interesting scene, new animations, new minigame… Mmh, we’ll have a whole post about it with all the details, it won’t be anything like prior ones, and you’ll be sure to like it! Well, the update looks promising, we shall hope we realize its full potential!
